The Sunday Times used our quarterly research in its Money Section yesterday (30 March 2013).

The extract is below:

"If you're hiring a car for an Easter break abroad, watch out for hidden costs when you collect it.  Research by found that a driver hiring a  compact family car in Tenerife for seven days from April 14 could end up paying as much as £315 in extra charges when they up the keys.

"The basic cost to hire a car from Hertz would be £109 but excess car hire insurance (£132), extra driver cover (£62), a child seat (£56) and a sat nave (£65) would push up the total bill.

"Drivers should take their own sat navs and car seats wherever possible and buy standalone excess insurance.  The cost starts at £2.99 a day or £39.99 for annual cover with".

Here's a link to the start of the article, but unfortunately our mention is behind the pay wall.
