The Guardian outlined its top 10 money saving tips for holiday makers in this special feature for the Guardian Money. The tips included best buys for currency exchange to travel insurance along with lots of other useful information which could save a lot of time

and money for holiday makers this year.. The eighth tip was how to save money on car hire, with the simple recommendation on how to save money……..“Pre-Buy Car Hire Excess Insurance”.

The article recommended for both our daily car hire excess insurance at just £2.99 a day as well as our annual car hire excess insurance from £39.99 per year as the best products in the market. The Guardian pointed out that our policies are not only considerably cheaper than the waivers sold at the rental desk, but that they also provide significantly better cover, including protection for damage to windows and tyres as standard.

The article reiterated the point that despite what rental companies tell customers, there is no obligation to buy the excess insurance that you are offered at the rental desk and urged customers to buy in advance for the best deals. To read the original article, click here
