'EXCESSIBLE', a new corporate account service for business travellers......
.....which provides full car hire excess protection cover which is up to 80% cheaper (see Table 1) than buying it from the car rental company.
A 2011 survey* discovered that over 90% of business travellers were leaving themselves, and therefore their company, liable for up to £2000 every time they hired a car for business. This is because they did not realise that if their hire car was damaged or stolen in Europe, even if it wasn't their fault, then they would be liable for the first part of a claim i.e., the excess amount of up to £2000*.
What's more, when business travellers buy an excess waiver from the rental desk to expense to their company, they may be paying significantly over the odds for the protection they receive. A car hire excess waiver bought direct from a car rental company is approximately £18 a day (see Table 1), compared with £2.99 per day for an EXCESSIBLE policy from iCarhireinsurance.com. Regular business users can buy an annual policy from just £39.99 which allows them to make an unlimited number of trips each year. iCarhireinsurance.com policies also provide cover to areas like windows, tyres, windscreen and undercarriage which the rental companies usually exclude.
"If you are a company with employees on the move hiring cars in the UK or abroad, you can significantly reduce your travel expense budget and avoid those hefty fees at the car rental desk, if you buy before you fly," said Ernesto Suarez, founder and CEO of iCarhireinsurance.com. "It only takes an individual employee to rent a car for three days and avoid paying over £18 a day insurance at the rental desk for our annual policy at £39.99 to have paid for itself."
Chris Hopcroft, Managing Director of Strickland Tracks Ltd is one of the first users of the policy, he said: "Our team are travelling around the world from the Far East to the USA and Europe, and by using iCarhireinsurance.com's EXCESSIBLE policy we have been able to drastically reduce our car hire budget. Before, we were finding that whatever the car cost to hire, it would then cost almost half as much again to buy the car hire excess waiver on top from the rental company. The annual policies from iCarhireinsurance are great value for money and offer great protection as well."
The policies can also be used by employees for business or leisure, so they are a great added benefit for employees.
Car hire insurance policies are available for Europe, USA and Canada, or Worldwide. Visit iCarhireinsurance.com for more details and to obtain a quote.
