iCarhireinsurance.com, the leading provider of stand-alone car hire insurance, has cut the price of its Annual European Excess insurance to £37.99; its Daily European Excess policy to only £2.99 a day; and its Daily Excess Worldwide policy to £3.99 a day.

These price changes mean that its policies are now not only more comprehensive than the policies offered at most rental desks, but they now offer an average saving of £87 on a week’s cover, a saving of over £78%*, and often the savings are significantly more.

Many hire car drivers are unaware until they collect their hire car, that if it is damaged or stolen, even if it is not their fault, they are liable for the excess, which can be up to £2,000. Rental companies charge on average £16 a day for excess waiver protection, but this can be as much as £28* a day, and often this excludes damage to the windows, tyres and undercarriage.

iCarhireinsurance.com policies include cover for damage to areas of the hire car usually excluded by the rental companies, such as windscreens, tyres, roof and undercarriage, and include cover for all drivers named on the rental agreement.

Ernesto Suarez, Founder and CEO, iCarhireinsurance.com said, “These price changes mean that our policies really are a no-brainer for all hire car drivers. Our Annual European Excess Policy is not only the most comprehensive annual excess policy available, including damage to all of the car and all named drivers as standard, it is also one of the most competitive. Customers can buy from us safe in the knowledge that they really are not only getting the best protection, but at the best price.”
