Sunday Sun Recommends to its Readers

The Sunday Sun (29 July 2012) used our YouGov research which showed that 29% of people hiring a car did not know what car hire excess insurance is, meaning they could be liable for more than £1300 in "excess charges" if the hire car was damaged or stolen.

The consumer editor, Daniel Jones, said that if consumers bought their excess insurance at the car hire desk this could add almost 50% again to their total car hire bill.
