Radio Day!

Wednesday 20 June was Radio Day for

Our founder and Chief Executive, Ernesto Suarez, graced the waves of no less than five radio stations including BBC Radio Devon, BBC Radio Humberside and Radio Verulum.

Ernie was invited on to the stations to chat about the Car Hire Hit List which gives travellers the inside track on how to make savings of up to £700.

From taking your own Sat Nav (save approx. £100) and child seat (save approx. £75),  booking your hire car early and shopping around (save approx. £150) to don't add extra named drivers unless you have to (save approx. £175) and make sure you get the right sized hire car (save approx. £120), we've left no stone unturned.

Then of course the saving closest to our hearts - car hire excess insurance. 'Buy before you fly' as Ernie always says!

The hire car companies will charge up to £20 a day depending on the size and value of the car to protect you from having to pay the first part of any claim if the car is damaged or stolen, which can be up to £2000. Then the rental companies' waivers usually still leave you exposed to damage for things like tyres, windscreen or undercarriage.

So instead buy a standalone policy from £2.99 or £39.99 per year - Saving approx £120.00 on a week's holiday. If you travel more than once a year, an annual policy could save even more.

All these savings are based on a week's car hire.
